Parent Teacher Association
Who are we and what do we do?
The PTA is a group of volunteers who organise and run fundraising events. These events also bring the school community together in a fun, social environment.
We always endeavour to spend the funds in ways that will benefit all our children across all areas of the school and curriculum. These funds are for the ‘extras’ not provided by the school budget, that make our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting.
How do we raise our funds?
The PTA regularly hold a Christmas and a Summer Fair. We also organise discos, the most popular of which is our fancy dress Halloween disco. Other fundraisers include cake stalls, competitions and even a fashion show! We are always keen for new ideas on how to raise funds.
What do we spend the funds raised on?
We have provided: playground equipment, climbing frame, reading scheme, PA system for the school and much much more more!
We always have new projects we are working towards.
How can you help?
New members and fresh ideas are always welcome. We usually meet once a month. Offering to help before and at events is always hugely appreciated. You can also help us by letting us know if you have any contacts or skills we could use. Details of upcoming events and PTA meetings are always given in the weekly newsletter. If you are interested in joining or helping out, simply contact the school office or speak to Louise Smith who is our Chairperson.
